Inzamam threatens legal action
Condon is reported to be investigating Inzamam
Inzamam insists he did nothing wrong
Pakistan batsman Inzamam ul-Haq is contemplating taking a newspaper to court over match-fixing allegations.

The Pakistan vice-captain said he was going to sue the Daily Telegraph over claims he was under investigation by the anti-corruption unit of the International Cricket Council.

The paper reported on 10 August that Inzamam, Wasim Akram and West Indian Brian Lara were under suspicion for alleged match-fixing.

It said Inzamam would have to answer questions about his manner of dismissal in a NatWest Trophy one-day match against Australia in Cardiff.

I am not guilty of match-fixing but new allegations have put me under a lot of pressure

The middle-order batsman advance down the wicket to a Shane Warne delivery only to be stumped.

"I will take the newspaper to court. Is it a crime to play out of your crease and get stumped?" said Inzamam.

"I am not guilty of match-fixing but new allegations have put me under a lot of pressure which could affect my performance in the coming season," he told reporters at a team training camp.

"Some quarters are trying to taint my image and I will not spare them."

Inzamam said he had not been questioned but was willing to face ICC officials.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not told me about any such thing that the ACU wants to interview me, nor has the ACU contacted me," he said.

Inzaman was fined by the Pakistan Cricket Board last year for not co-operating with match-fixing inquiries in 1998 and 1999.
