In total 42 athletes will be competing in nine different sports
Guernsey's Commonwealth Games team has left for India, with athletes playing down concerns over the facilities and accommodation in host city Delhi. Sprinter and hurdler Kylie Robilliard said she was unfazed by the reported problems in the athletes' village. "I'm going to compete - I don't really care what it looks like as long as I'm on the start," she told BBC Guernsey. "I don't mind having a little spruce up if needs be, but I think it will be a surprise and it will be really good." A total of 42 athletes will be competing for Guernsey in nine sports.

The athletes will be spending the day at the K2 sports centre in Crawley, before their 10-and-a-half hour overnight flight to India. Dale Garland, who has represented Great Britain in the 400m hurdles at the 2007 World Championships and was in the 400m relay squad at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, said: "It's always a good little buzz when you get to the airport for a team event like this. "Obviously going away to the Olympics you wear the GB vest, but here we've got our Guernsey kit and it's a proud thing to be representing Guernsey." The final decision to attend the games was only taken on Friday, amid concerns about safety and hygiene in Delhi.
