Pinky Le Grelle won England's first medal on day nine of the Games with a bronze in the skeet shooting.
The 54-year-old from Bodmin was one of four women tied on the top score of 89.
But she was pushed into third place in a shoot-off, as Cyprus' Andri Eleftheriou took gold and Australian Lauryn Mark claimed the silver.
Wales' John Croydon was just out of the medals in fourth in the men's 50m rifle three positions, with English veteran Chris Hector finishing fifth.

I'm pleased to be going home with a medal even though it's not the colour I hoped for

Le Grelle, who won the world championships at the skeet shooting in 1975, was delighted to have picked up a medal.
"I really enjoyed it out there today even though it was really tense," she said.
"I'm pleased to be going home with a medal even though it's not the colour I hoped for.
"I've never been in that situation before. I was fighting against some very strong contenders out there.
"But this is great because I am getting to the end of my career," she added.
"I may carry on for a couple of years but this will be my last Commonwealth Games," she said.
Elena Little, from Barnsley, finished seventh after scoring 64 in the qualification round.
Elsewhere, India's pistol shooter Samaresh Jung missed his chance to break Ian Thorpe and Susie O'Neill's record of six Commonwealth gold medals when he lost a three-way shootout in the men's 25m centre fire.
Jung finished tied with Singapore's Shaw Ming On and New Zealand's Gregory Yelavich after the trio scored 578 points out of a possible 600.
But he was eliminated after the first five shots of the shootout, scoring 47 points to On and Yelavich's 48.
On and Yelavich were still tied after another round of five shots before On claimed gold after a third round.
Jung, who has five gold medals, has a chance to equal the record set by the Australian swimmers in his final event - the 25m standard pistol - on Saturday.
Gagan Narang gave India their 12th shooting gold medal when he won the men's 50m rifle three position title.
Narang, who had already won three golds on the range this week, finished just ahead of his team-mate Abhinav Bindra. Australia's Ben Burge was third.
