Northern Ireland reached the men's triples bowls final, knocking out England in a tense semi-final.
The Irish took the first set 6-4, but England fought back to win the second 8-5, before losing the tie-break 2-1.
England's women triples also lost in the semi-finals 10-6 10-7 to Australia. Jersey lost the other semi to Malaysia.
Aussie grandmother Roma Dunn played a key role in their triples win and at 62 is just one match away from being the oldest winner of a Commonwealth gold.
"It's the best thing since sliced bread," the grandmother-of-eight said of her appearance in the final.
"In the three previous Commonwealth Games I've come home twice without a medal. That would be an added incentive. I want it anyway.
"It would be a record if I get it. I would be the oldest duck to win a medal."
Australia also made the final of the men's triples, beating South Africa 8-3, 14-2.
