Wales stormed into the semi-finals of the men's table tennis team event with a 3-1 win over Malaysia.
Ryan Jenkins kicked off the matches with a 3-2 win over Koon Wah Chan and Adam Robertson followed suit by overcoming Shakirin Ibrahim 3-1.
Malaysia fought back against Jenkins' younger brother Stephen, but Robertson stepped back and won 3-0 to send Wales through to face Singapore on Sunday.
The women's team lost 3-0 to Singapore in their quarter-final.
In Manchester four years ago a place in the semi-finals guaranteed a bronze. This time, though, the two losing semi-finalist will play-off for third place.
Said Ryan Jenkins: "I'm very proud of the team and our performance tonight. We're through to the semis - the furthest we've been in a Commonwealth Games.
"We made the quarters in Manchester but now we have two chances of a medal.
"I was 2-0 down at one point which was pretty tense, but I managed to pull it back.
"We now have a chance to play in the main arena in front of a packed crowd and I'm really looking forward to it."
