England's women's athletics captain Donna Fraser has withdrawn from her 400m event at the Commonwealth Games because of a sore Achilles tendon.
The 33-year-old had been due to race in Sunday's 400m heats, but will rest and receive treatment on the injury.
But Fraser is also entered for the 200m and the relays, and officials hope that she will still be able to compete in those events.
Fraser won a bronze medal at the 1998 Games in Kuala Lumpur
