Lewis Rees has won three Welsh ABA and two Home Nations titles
Rookie Welsh boxer Lewis Rees has signed a three-year contract with top British promoter Frank Warren.
Rees, who turned professional in January, is set to make his pro debut on the undercard of Nathan Cleverly's world title fight in London on 2 April.
The 21-year-old will fight a four-rounder before Cleverly takes on German Juergen Braehmer for the WBO light-heavyweight crown at Wembley Arena.
"Lewis has signed up with Frank," said manager and trainer Gary Lockett.
"We are delighted because Frank is a top promoter and Frank is happy because he has signed a really promising and talented fighter."
Rees, a double Home Nations champion and three-time Welsh Amateur Boxing winner, joined Lockett's three other fighters Bradley Pryce, Jeff Evans and British lightweight champion Gavin Rees at his new south Wales stable.
And Lockett will now start preparing the young light-welterweight for his debut against a yet unnamed opponent in April.
