England win three golds at Commonwealth Boxing Champs

Boxing

England won seven medals at the Commonwealth Boxing Championships in Delhi, including three golds.

Bantamweight Iain Weaver, also the outstanding boxer of the tournament, light-welterweight Scott Cardle and heavyweight Simon Vallily took gold.

Middleweight Frank Buglioni won silver, and lightweight Daniel Phillips, welterweight Callum Smith and super-heavyweight Frazer Clarke won bronze.

The tournament was a test for the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi in October.
