Jason Booth earns Commonwealth super-bantamweight title

Jason Booth lands a left-hander to Matthew Marsh
Nottingham-based Booth (left) was too good for Marsh

Jason Booth defended his British super-bantamweight crown and collected the vacant Commonwealth title after a win over Matthew Marsh in Nottingham.

Referee John Keane stopped the fight in the 11th round when blood gushed freely above Marsh's right eye after a thumping Booth right-hander.

Londoner Marsh, 27, edged the opening rounds as Booth struggled to find form.

But the 32-year-old hit back midway through the fight before delivering the punch which ended the contest.
