Sexton prepared for Rogan fight

Norwich boxer Sam Sexton is in confident mood ahead of his Commonwealth heavyweight title re-match against Martin Rogan on Friday.

"His best chance to beat me was last time - he couldn't do it then and he certainly won't do it this time," said current champ Sexton.

The pair meet for the second time after a bad-tempered affair in May 2009.

The first fight was stopped by the referee in the 8th round with Rogan suffering from a swollen eye.

"You only had to look at his face to see that he had been in a war," said Sexton.

The arena in Belfast was a hostile environment for the Norwich boxer last May.

"I expect it will be the same this time.

"It's just the same as if I was fighting in front of my home crowd and they would get behind me, but it's not a problem for me."

Sexton is 13 years Rogan's junior and feels that the age difference will benefit him.

"He's a lot older than me - I'm still pretty fresh for a heavyweight so I think it's out with the old and in with the new."
