|
German Felix Sturm won his rematch with American Randy Griffin, defending his middleweight title on points.
Sturm, making the fourth defence of his WBA title, won a unanimous verdict over Griffin, with the judges scoring the contest 116-113, 116-112 and 118-110.
Sturm, 29, used his jab effectively, caught Griffin with several fierce blows in the fifth and landed repeated combinations in the 11th.
The pair last met in 2007, with that contest ending a draw.
