The fight finally gets under way at 0450 GMT, but the expected explosive start from Ricky Hatton does not quite materialise as WBC champion Floyd Mayweather keeps him at bay in a cagey opening.

Hatton then catches Mayweather with a crunching jab that clearly shakes the champion and sends him flying backwards.

But Mayweather regains his composure and lands two big rights of his own - and that is perhaps enough to give him the round.
