Omar Nino celebrates his title victory last month

WBC light flyweight champion Omar Nino has tested positive for the banned stimulant methamphetamine, according to the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC).
The 30-year-old Mexican tested positive after winning the title with a unanimous decision over Brian Viloria in Las Vegas last month.
The NAC will announce Nino's temporary suspension next week with a full hearing scheduled for next year.
Nino's manager Fernando Beltran claims the test result is flawed.
He has also asked the NAC to conduct a second test on the urine sample.
"The kid said he didn't take anything, and, honestly, I trust him," Beltran told the Los Angeles Times.
"He's asking as a fighter, as a sportsman, how do you take that (drug) when you perform at a high level over 12 rounds like he did? He's very curious about this result."
Nino could be suspended, have his boxing licence revoked, and have the title fight ruled as a no-decision.
Methamphetamine is a highly-addictive stimulant derived from ephedrine and is also known as "ice".
Nino defeated Viloria on 18 November despite being knocked down twice.
