Super middleweight Carl Froch strolled past Damon Hague with a first-round stoppage to win the British title.

The 27-year-old from Nottingham put Derby's Hague on the canvas for the first time with a short right.

Hague was allowed to fight on but seconds later Froch finished the bout with a stunning combination as the round came to a close.

"I was a man on a mission tonight. I've been trying to get my hands on this title for 10 months," said Froch.
