Nelson to take on Jones
Johnny Nelson of England throws a left jab at Pietro Aurino
Nelson is one of the longest reigning champions
WBO cruiserweight champ Johnny Nelson will defend his title against Guillermo Jones on 23 November at the Storm Arena in Derby.

Nelson will face the South American in what will be the Sheffield man's 11th defence of a title he won from countryman Carl Thompson.

The 30-year-old Jones from Panama is a former world title challenger at light middleweight.

He has suffered just two defeats in 32 fights and has had five fights as a cruiserweight, with his most impressive win coming against contender Sione Asipeli.

The 35-year-old Nelson has not fought since he stopped American Ezra Sellars in Denmark.

On the same bill, Junior Witter, tipped as a future opponent for Ricky Hatton, will fight Giuseppe Lauri in an official eliminator for the WBO junior welterweight title.
