TV company pulls Tyson advert
Mike Tyson
Tyson is not exactly a family role model
A US TV company has withdrawn its commercial featuring former heavyweight world champion boxer Mike Tyson.

The American broadcaster, Fox Sports, had aired an advert which showed Tyson cradling a baby and rocking in a chair whilst watching television.

Tyson's role of babysitter was designed to show how far celebrities would go in order to have access to the sports channel.

But the decision to use Tyson, who once claimed to want to eat Lennox Lewis' babies, was too controversial, and Fox pulled the advert.

Earlier last year, Tyson told a group of sports reporters he wanted to stomp on their children's testicles so they could relate to the pain he has felt in his life.

Given those comments, as well as Tyson's conviction for rape, a Fox spokesman later admitted the commercial was more provocative than they had first thought.
