Blow-by-blow TV show
Lewis (l) and Rahman square-up before their scuffle
Lennox Lewis and Hasim Rahman clash out of the ring in a remarkable television bust-up on Thursday, BBC Sport Online brings you a blow-by-blow account.
Who's who in TV row:
Miller: During your radio gigs here did he (Hasim Rahman) question your sexuality? Lewis: Rahman said 'why are you starting that gay stuff?' I'm not gay. (Looking at Rahman) Why are you calling me gay? Miller: What did you say Hasim? Rahman: I said that what he (Lewis) did was gay, that he wanted to take it to the courts to get a rematch. And we are gonna fight around the same time I told him we were anyway. I said it was gay to take it to the court. I don't know why he was offended. Lewis: (Defensive tone) I'm 100% a woman's man, so don't even play that. If you are worried about that bring your sister, bring anyone! Rahamn: (Increasingly angry) Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. I'm gonna say this right now, if you don't want me saying anything about your mother, your father or anybody else in your family do not say anything about my family.
Lewis: Listen. Rahman: Do not say anything about my family. Lewis: Be careful what you say. Rahman: Do not say anything about my family. Lewis: Be careful what you say to me. Rahman: Man, you ain't nobody, I'll say what I want to you! Lewis: Go ahead man. Rahman: I'll say what I want. Lewis: Go ahead. Rahman: (Stands-up) I'll just say it. What do you want me to say? Lewis: (Also stands-up) Anything. Rahman: Like what? Lewis: Anything you want. Rahman: Like what? After a brief pause while Lewis looks Rahman up and down, apparently considering his options, he shoves Rahman in the chest and a scuffle ensues. Miller: Fellas, fellas, fellas. okay, we do not want this. Security guard: Pull away, pull away The studio is besieged by security personnel as increasingly nervous members of the production team move away from the ever-expanding scuffle epicentre. Rahman: Come on big man, come on big man.
The scuffle sways one way and then another, eventually Rahman grapples Lewis on to the interviewer's table, which smashes under the weight of the two boxers. Eventually the two boxers are escorted, separately, from the stage. The interview concluded, with neither boxer injured.
