Shakespeare Marathon won by Rugby athlete Siggers

Simkiss won the half marathon in 1 hour 13 minutes and 5 seconds

Rugby athlete Andrew Siggers won the Shakespeare Marathon on Sunday, leading a field of more than 1,000 runners.

Siggers won in a time of 2 hours 37 minutes and 41 seconds with Sandra Williams the first female home shortly after the three-hour mark.

A further 1,600 took part in the half marathon with Richard Simkiss and Dani Rasgauski the first male and female to complete the race respectively.

The course started and finished in Stratford-upon-Avon.
