Gatlin hopes Bolt support will help return

Justin Gatlin hopes the supportive words from Usain Bolt will help him gain entry to the Diamond League as he returns from a four-year drug ban.

Usain Bolt said last week he would be happy to compete against Gatlin, who was banned in 2006 after a positive test for testosterone but continues to protest his innocence.

Major meetings in Europe currently ban those who have served bans but American Gatlin is confident his performances, and Bolt's words, will convince organisers to include him.

He is speaking to Russell Fuller on the BBC World Service Sportsworld programme.
