European cross country champion Hayley Yelling is to compete at the Antrim IAAF International races at Greenmount on 23 January.

Yelling caused a big surprise with her success at the Europeans in Dublin, leading from the start to win by seven seconds from Spain's Rosa Morato.

The Dorchester-born teacher had returned to the sport, having decided to give up competitive running in 2008.

European Junior bronze medallist Kate Avery is also entered for Antrim.

The men's field will include Andy Vernon and Mike Skinner who helped the British team win silver at Santry.
