He missed the Beijing Olympics with an Achilles injury but Lewis-Francis is now fighting hard to return to full fitness, under the watchful eye of a former Olympic 100m champion.
Darren Campbell says: "I've heard he's been training hard with new coach Linford Christie and he could achieve things if he stays fit - although I have been saying that for a while.
"He's got the hunger. When you're out of the sport for that long you really appreciate your training and the sport. If he can return from rehab he's got the mentality and temperament to perform on the big occasions.
"Nothing can prepare you for that. Every sprinter has some arrogance - not cockiness - but you need that."
