Mageean won the Irish Senior Indoor 1500m title in January

Ciara Mageean had to settle for 10th place in the 1500 metres final at the World Junior Championships in Poland.
The 16-year-old Portaferry athlete had produced a great performance to qualify for the final as a fastest loser but found Sunday's race a bridge too bar.
British talent Stephanie Twell took victory in 4:15.09 ahead of Ethiopia's Kalkidan Gezahegne (4:16.58) and another Briton Emma Pallant (4:17.06).
Mageean's time of 4:26.87 was over five seconds outside her PB set on Friday.
However, she should be proud of her performance in reaching the final after a season which also saw her claiming the Irish Senior Indoor 1500m title.
