More than 50 young athletes from Jersey are heading off to Guadeloupe to take part in the 2008 Jeux des Iles.
This year will see Jersey's largest-ever team go to the games, where 58 islanders will compete in seven of the 12 sports.
The Jersey team has been boosted by the fact that this year's games fall in half-term week.
Swimming and Athletics will be the most represented sports, with 12 competitors taking part in each.
Other sports sending Jersey athletes include tennis with six players, table tennis with three, gymnastics with five and surfing with four.
This is the first year surfing has been at Jeux des Iles and will be there as an exhibition sport.
There will be over 2000 young athletes taking part in the games from 22 islands around the world.
