Kenenisa Bekele will return to Scotland to defend his Great Edinburgh Cross Country title on 13 January.
The Olympic and world 10,000m champion will face a strong field that already includes Australian world 5,000m bronze medallist Craig Mottram.
Race director Matthew Turnbull said: "Kenenisa knows we're planning to host another strength-in-depth race and was delighted to accept our invitation.
"There will be other global stars drafted in to increase competition."
