Lornah Kiplagat won her seventh successive Resolution Asset Management Women's 10k in Glasgow on Sunday.
She led a record field of 14,968, finishing in a time of 32mins 16secs.
Vivien Cheriyot came second in 32:25, with Ogla Kimaiyo third in 32:25. First Scot was Collette Fagan (33:55) and the junior winner was Emma Mackie in 40:52.
"Today belongs to the women of Glasgow and beyond who have taken part," said Glasgow's Lord Provost Liz Cameron at the finish in Bellahouston Park.
"There are a lot of happy women who are proudly wearing their medal - payment for all the hours of training over the last few months.
"As organisers, Glasgow City Council is delighted that the 10k has come such a long way since the first race in 1993 when just over 800 runners took part."
Charities will also benefit to the tune of about £1m raised through sponsorship.
