Wilson Kipketer
Kipketer bettered Coe's 800m mark
Middle-distance legend Wilson Kipketer will retire from athletics after the 2006 European Championships in Sweden.

The 32-year-old, who switched nationality from Kenya to Denmark, won world titles in 1995, 1997 and 1999.

But he is best known for bettering Briton Sebastian Coe's 800m world mark and still holds the record of one minute 41.11 seconds set in 1997.

Kipketer was European champion in 2002 and won Olympic silver in 2000, as well as a bronze medal at the 2004 Games.
