Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba is planning a world record attempt over 5,000m at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Sheffield on 21 August.
Dibaba ran a sensational last lap to take the 10,000m title in Helsinki
The 19-year-old added the 5,000m title to her 10,000m crown at the World Championships in Helsinki on Saturday.
But the poor weather in Finland has not been conducive to fast track times.
She will now chase Elvan Abeylegesse's mark of 14 mins 24.68 secs at the UK meeting. "I feel that the world record time is within me," Dibaba said.
"Clearly the conditions in Helsinki have not been ideal for fast times, but if we get the right weather in Sheffield then the field is certainly strong enough to go quicker than 14:24."
Dibaba lies fifth in the all-time list for the women's 5,000m.
She clocked her best time of 14:30.88 when she finished second behind Abeylegesse at Norway's IAAF Golden League meeting in Bergen last summer.
