Jackson breaks caps record
British sprint hurdling legend Colin Jackson
Jackson will earn his 70th Great Britain cap
Colin Jackson will become the most-capped British male athlete when he lines up for the Norwich Union Indoor International in Glasgow on 2 February.

Sprint hurdler Jackson will earn his 70th cap for the GB and Northern Ireland team, eclipsing the record of Mike Bull who competed in pole vault and decathlon between 1965 and 1977.

Shot putter Judy Oakes holds the outright record with 87 GB caps between 1976 and 2000.

Britain will compete against Italy, Russia, Sweden and a European select team at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall.

Nearly three weeks later, Jackson comes face-to-face with his Commonwealth nemesis when he makes his final Grand Prix appearance on 21 February.

Jackson, who retires after the World Indoor Championships in March, will face South African Shaun Bownes at the Norwich Union Grand Prix in Birmingham.

Bownes was the man who took gold at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester last year.

European indoor silver medallist Elmar Lichtenegger and Sweden's Olympic finalist Robert Kronberg are also in the field.
