Twins Janette and Jeanette Howells will lead Wales' six-strong squad to Delhi as the Commonwealth Games includes archery for the first time since 1982.

The 48-year-olds from Pontypridd starred for Wales in India before during the 2006 Commonwealth Cup.

Great Britain internationals Tapani Kalmaru and Andrew Rose will join 2008 European Field championship silver medallist Tracey Anderson in Delhi.

International archer Geraint Thomas will also bid for medals in October.

Pat Widger, Chair of the Welsh Archery Association, said: "The archers that have been selected to represent Wales will provide a strong compound team and are all continuing to work hard to achieve their full potential."

Team Wales' archery squad will compete at the Yamuna Sports Complex in Delhi from 4 to 6 October.
