Jersey's Lucy O'Sullivan secures archery gold

Jersey archer Lucy O'Sullivan beat home favourite Gagandeep Kaur in the final to seal another gold for Britain at the Commonwealth Games Test Event in Delhi.

O'Sullivan overcame Kaur in the the women's compound event after downing Scot Tracey McGowan in the semi-finals.

It follows her victory in the women's compound title in the inaugural Archery GB National Series last year.

Nichola Simpson, meanwhile, won bronze in the third-place play-off to follow her gold in Thursday's team event.

Simpson, who secured gold in a nail-biting shoot-out win over India alongside Andrea Gales and Nicky Hunt, beat McGowan in the race for the final medal.

Men's trio James Forbes, James Bingham and Mark Franklin also won gold on Thursday with victory over Malaysia.
