Chart your team's season
Would you like to plot the progress of your football team on the BBC Sport website?

Well you can, even if you missed out on being selected as our football team to follow. Here's a step-by-step guide to setting up and updating your very own team page on 606.

  • 1. Create a membership for your team by following the simple steps on the sign-on page. We suggest using your football team name as a member name and then giving details of your member name and password to all your team-mates.

  • 2. Confirm your email address to complete the process and go to your new member page.

  • 3. Edit your profile by clicking the link on the right-hand-side of your member page. Putting interesting information about your team (where it plays, how good/bad it is, who the stars are) in the "More about me" section will help to attract attention and this info can be updated as often as you like.

  • 4. You are now ready to add comments, articles, match reports and player profiles. If you scroll down your member page, you will see that there are separate sections for each.

Comments: These will appear automatically when you comment on any existing 606 post when signed in as your football team.

Articles: To write one, click on the link on the right-hand-side of your "articles" section. Your most recent articles will appear in this section.

Reports: Why not write a match report for every game your team plays? Click on the link in your "reports" section. Your most recent reports will appear in this section.

Profiles: Why not write a short profile for every player in your team? Click on the link in your "profiles" section. Your most recent profiles will appear in this section.

  • 5. Tags are important. To make your team easy to search on be sure to tag every article, report or profile you write. This is easily done. When you start to write one, you will automatically be asked to select your sport. Choose "football" and then select "other" in the "team" and "competition" fields. You will then be invited to enter your own team and competition names. If you always enter exactly the same information in these two fields, all of your match reports and articles will appear together on a search.

  • 6. Keep it clean. By all means write informally and freely, but you must abide by our house rules.
