Dane leaves Ibrox on loan
![]() Christiansen was Denmark's World Cup third choice
Rangers goalkeeper Jesper Christiansen has joined German side Wolfsburg on a one year loan.
The move, which has an option to become permanent, was confirmed by Wolfsburg general manager Peter Pander. Pander said: "We can now confirm with this transfer that all of our goalkeeping positions are taken." Christiansen, who has made just five appearances for the Ibrox club since his £1.7m move from Odense in October 2000, moved to Danish side Vejle in January on loan. 24-year-old Christiansen, who was third choice keeper with Denmark at the World Cup, could not oust Rangers number one Stefan Klos and the Glasgow side are content to continue with Allan McGregor as cover for the experienced German. "I'm very happy to have agreed terms with Wolfsburg. The Bundesliga is one of the four best leagues in the world," Christiansen told www.onside.dk. Wolfsburg finished last year's Bundesliga campaign in 10th position.
