Jones proud of Wales' Crown win
Ryan Jones
Ryan Jones is hoping to celebrate again next weekend
Captain Ryan Jones says he is proud of Wales after beating Ireland 16-12 to lift the Triple Crown in Dublin.

"Occasions like this demand big performances from big players and I think there were 15 big performances out there," he said.

"There are very few opportunities in your career to win silverware and we've come here and delivered. I don't think anyone disappointed.

"We've got one more week and we could be celebrating again."

Jones also hailed the "fantastic" tackle by Mike Phillips on Shane Horgan to prevent Ireland scoring a try when the hosts were leading 6-0.

"There were several key moments," he said. "The boys are exhausted. All I asked is that everyone gave everything and we got the result we deserved.

"I'm so proud of the 22 guys in there."

And he described lifting the Triple Crown as "pretty surreal".

He said: "You dream of days like that and to go up there, look at 70,000 people and lift some silverware on behalf of some pretty special players is magnificent.

"It's another memory I can add to the one's I've received so far this season."

But he is not getting carried away ahead of next weekend's bid for the Grand Slam against France in Cardiff.

"There's one more game to go. There will be a few sore boys this week, but we'll patch them up and away we go for next weekend.

"It is going to be tough, expectations are going to be high but I've got huge belief in these guys and I'm proud to be associated with them
