Cardiff Blues handed Leinster their fourth straight defeat in the Celtic League, with Canadian flanker Dan Baugh taking centre stage on Friday night.

Baugh could have been lining up for Canada against Wales on Sunday in the World Cup, but difficulties with getting insurance cover meant he stayed in Cardiff.

Canada's loss is certainly the Blues' gain as the all-action back row claimed two tries.

However, it wasn't a perfect performance despite his man-of-the-match award, as Baugh was sin-binned for the third time this season, earning himself a one-match ban.

The Canadian was in support to make the most of Nick Walne's break to crash over from a yard.

But Baugh was fortunate to be around for his second score, having escaped with a lecture from Scottish referee David Changleng after a late tackle on Brendan Burke.

Walne did get the score his performance deserved in between Baugh's efforts, crossing in the corner for the best try of the match after some slick handling from the Blues backs.

Leinster, meanwhile, lost prop John Lyne to a suspected broken ankle and had just a penalty from Matt Leek to show for their efforts.
