South Africa's World Cup-winning coach Jake White has confirmed he will return to Saracens on a consultancy basis for two weeks in the new year.

White spent a week working on defensive drills with Saracens last week and helped them to a 23-6 win over Worcester in the Guinness Premiership.

Saracens' director of rugby Eddie Jones revealed his desire to get White back.

The pair linked up again this week to coach the Barbarians for the Olympic centenary match against Australia.

After the match, which Australia won 18-11 at Wembley, White said: "I will be back at Saracens for a week in January and a week in February.

"I am consulting to Saracens to help Eddie. It is a new voice. It is a tough competition in the northern hemisphere and it is nice to have a new voice, some new ideas.

"I am just glad I can add some value to a club like Saracens for Eddie."

Jones, who performed a similar advisory role with the Springboks at last year's World Cup said: "We obviously get on well and complement each other in the way we do things.

"Jake will have a look on what we are doing and seeing where we can improve.

He worked specifically on our defence last week but it could be in other areas. It is about adding value to our team."

After his spell with Saracens, White, 45, is undertaking a two-week consultancy with French side Toulon from 7 December.

The South African will work alongside former All Black captain Tana Umaga in helping turn around the fortunes of the struggling Top 14 outfit.

White coached South Africa to their second World Cup triumph, with the Boks beating England 15-6 in the 2007 final in Paris to add to their success in 1995.
