McCall determined to clinch title
Ulster coach Mark McCall
McCall hopes to lead Ulster to a first Celtic League title
Mark McCall is in confident mood ahead of Friday night's crunch game against the Ospreys which could see his Ulster side crowned Celtic League champions.

Leaders Ulster are two points ahead of Irish rivals Leinster going into the final round of fixtures.

"If we win over there then the title is ours and that's exactly what we intend to do," the coach told BBC Sport.

"We have no interest in coming second and it would be great to round off the season with something tangible."

He added: "We have put ourselves in a really good position, going into the final match of the season needing a win of any kind.

"Although we were disappointed with last week's draw it took all the variables out of the way, including bonus points."

Ulster captain Simon Best fractured his ankle in the 12-12 draw with the Scarlets last Friday and the experienced Justin Fitzpatrick has been drafted in as his front row replacement.

McCall is happy with the quality in his panel and how the team has progressed this season.

"I am very fortunate to be able to delve into the squad and call up someone as good as Justin Fitzpatrick," he said.

"A player who has won 30 caps for Ireland is a hugely experience prop forward.

"The team has developed quicker than anticipated this season.

"We have an honest bunch of players who work hard for each other and we are in this position because of our previous 19 performances.

"To win the title would mean a lot to everyone involved with the Ulster organisation."

The Swansea game and Leinster's encounter with Edinburgh Gunners both start at 1910 BST on Friday night.
