Methody deny Wallace in Shield
Medallion Shield final:
Methodist College 21-3 Wallace High

Wallace had their second big disappointment in the space of a week.

Following their defeat in the Ulster Schools' Cup to RBAI on St Patrick's Day, they went down to a strong Methody in the Medallion Shield final at Ravenhill.

Wallace were well beaten with their only points coming from a first-half penalty by fly-half Patrick Callow.

Methody held a 7-3 half-time lead with hooker Patrick McMahon scoring and Owen McMurray converting.

Methody stormed further ahead in the 44th minute when impressive number 8 Mark Robinson crashed over with McMurray again converting.

The Belfast side wrapped up the game five minutes from the end when winger David Smyth charged over in the corner with McMurray adding a splendid touchline conversion.
