England U21 31-12 Scotland U21
England launched a second-half onslaught to seal a convincing win over Scotland at the International Rugby Board U21 World Championship in France.

Scotland led 9-0 at the break thanks to three David Blair penalties.

But England hit form after half-time, with Anthony Allen, Jordan Crane (2), Alex Rogers and James Haskell all crossing for tries.

Ryan Lamb kicked three conversions, while Scotland could add only another Blair penalty.

Despite victory, England missed out on a place in the semi-finals, finishing in fifth place after the group stages behind New Zealand, who had a superior points difference despite losing to Australia on Saturday.

Australia's victory lifted them to second, with South Africa topping the standings after a narrow win over France, who finished third.

England will now play Wales on Wednesday, the two countries competing with Ireland and Argentina, who also meet on Wednesday, for the fifth-to-eighth spots.

The best Scotland can finish is ninth, and they will face Georgia on Wednesday.
