France call up Bonnaire for Magne
France flanker Julien Bonnaire
Bonnaire replaces Olivier Magne in the number seven shirt for France
France have made one change from the team which beat England for Saturday's Six Nations encounter with Wales.

Julien Bonnaire replaces Olivier Magne at open-side flanker, with London Irish player Magne dropping to the bench.

The other British-based French players, Saracens back Thomas Castaignede and Wasps hooker Raphael Ibanez, retain their places.

France go into the match in Cardiff level at the top of the table with Ireland, while Wales are fifth.

France coach Bernard Laporte revealed that Bonnaire's contribution in Sunday's 31-6 thrashing of England earned him his promotion to the starting line-up.

"Magne didn't play an astounding game against England," Laporte said.

"Bonnaire did well when he came on to replace him and this time he will start.

"We keep saying that we want to maintain internal competition among our squad players.

"It would be too harsh for those who are on the bench not to have a chance to prove their worth."

Wales are going through a more bumpy season than last year but their team is always difficult to handle
France coach Bernard Laporte

Laporte insisted that his side would travel to Cardiff feeling relaxed but not over-confident following last week's Paris triumph.

"The players know that they will clinch France's 15th title if they win in Cardiff, that should be enough to motivate them," he said.

"Wales are going through a more bumpy season than last year but their team is always difficult to handle.

"Don't forget that they will play at home, after Italy held them at the Millennium Stadium and they will try to end the championship on a high note.

"The important thing, however, will be the way we play. We'll have to be at 100 percent in all sectors of the game."

France: Thomas Castaignede; Aurelien Rougerie, Florian Fritz, Damien Traille, Christophe Dominici; Frederic Michalak, Dimitri Yachvili; Sylvain Marconnet, Raphael Ibanez, Pieter de Villiers; Fabien Pelous, Jerome Thion; Yannick Nyanga, Julien Bonnaire, Thomas Lievremont.
Replacements: Dimitri Szarzewski, Olivier Milloud, Lionel Nallet, Olivier Magne, Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, Ludovic Valbon, Cedric Heymans.
