Warrington coach Tony Smith excited by Wigan cup test

Smith has guided Warrington to two successive Challenge Cup Final wins

Warrington Wolves coach Tony Smith wants his side to maintain their good form in the Challenge Cup quarter final tie against the Wigan Warriors in July.

The Wolves, who are the holders of the trophy, have home advantage against the reigning Super League champions.

Smith told BBC Radio Merseyside: "We are looking forward to it. It's going to be a cracking game.

"It'll be a packed house and should be a great atmosphere. Two very good teams, so it'll be a beauty."

The Wolves have already beaten the Warriors 24-6 at the DW Stadium this season , and Smith is hoping his side can maintain the level of performance that has seen them score 254 points without reply in their last three games.

"Form can come and it can leave you but we've been in good form in recent weeks.

"We'd like to keep that going for a while and keep it through to the end of the season."

Smith added: "We are in a good place and playing some good rugby league. We've had some real good games with them (Wigan) in the last couple of years."
