Warrington scored 50 points without reply in the second half to seal their biggest win under boss Tony Smith.

They scored two tries in the first eight minutes but Salford led at the break as Robbie Myler scampered over and Ian Sibbit put Jeremy Smith over.

Paul Johnson's 100th career try began the revival after fine work by Garreth Carvell and the influential Lee Briers.

Adrian Morley scored his first try for more than two years and Chris Bridge booted nine goals from 11 attempts.

Warrington coach Tony Smith:

"It was the old classic of two halves. We started positively and blew a few chances.

"We made some errors in the first half but then got smart and played some very attractive rugby.

"The players wanted to change the rhythm of the game at half-time and be steadier.

"Lee Briers had some good touches but the forwards paved the way. Garreth Carvell was tremendous and Ben Westwood was outstanding for the second week running after a dip in his form."

Salford coach Shaun McRae:

"In all my coaching career I've never seen such a turnaround in 40 minutes.

"Explanations and excuses will be given but at the end of the day we just folded and it was disgraceful.

"It was one of the worst performances I have seen by any side in 40 minutes.

"It probably ranks as the number one in my coaching career. We went from A grade to Z grade in such a short space of time."
