BBC's Super League Show returns

The BBC's Super League Show returns to our screens this Sunday as the new rugby league season kicks-off.

Harry Gration will be joined by Salford City Reds scrum-half Robbie Paul to analyze all the weekend's action.

This week's show will also feature Loughborough Students and their progress in the Challenge Cup.

Sunday's show will be broadcast on BBC One in the north of England at 1425 GMT, and then repeated on BBC TWO across the UK on Monday at 0340 GMT.

For the first time the programme will also be available via the red button from around 1900 GMT each Sunday.

The show will be on a continuous loop until the middle of the week, and in order to view it rugby league fans need to turn to a BBC channel, press the red button and follow the links to rugby league.

Charles Runcie, executive producer for the BBC, said: "With the Super League Show now available via the red button and the BBC iPlayer there's no excuse for missing a show.

"Along with live Challenge Cup action throughout the season, our in-depth BBC Local Radio coverage and the latest news and views online at there's plenty for rugby league fans to enjoy on the BBC this season."

Richard Coventry of Televideo, the series producers of the Super League Show, added: "The programme will continue to bring viewers all the best action as well as in-depth features from the rugby league world.

"In addition to match highlights we will bring the programme closer to the viewers with live outside broadcasts from rugby league venues.

"We shall also report the latest news on and off the field, including a special feature on how the credit crunch will affect clubs, fans, and the wider game."
