Webcke forced to quit Test play
Brisbane Broncos prop Shane Webcke
Webcke will still line out with the Brisbane Broncos
Brisbane Broncos prop Shane Webcke has retired from Test and State of Origin matches because of a knee injury.

The 30-year-old played 18 Tests for the Kangaroos and 21 State of Origin matches for Queensland.

"I have been forced into making this decision because of a degenerating knee problem that has required surgery twice in the past six months," he said.

Webcke will see out the remaining two years of his contract with Brisbane, for whom he has played 215 times.
