Former Widnes winger Paul Devlin finally crossed the rugby divide and signed for Munster.
Devlin suffered a serious knee injury last February, but returned with no ill effects and has now decided to switch back to the union game.
The 22-year-old slimline sprinter was a former Ireland under-21 player. He is set to sign a three-year contract.
Devlin, whose father is from Co Dublin, played rugby union for England U18s and U19s before switching to Ireland.
He then came into the spotlight when Ciaran Fitzgerald was in charge of the Irish under-21 side two years ago.
Devlin was with Sale and featured in the Six Nations squad and travelled with them to the U21 World Cup in South Africa.
On his return from the tournament he switched codes and went to Widnes before rejoining Sale on loan during the Super League's close season last winter.
