The district of Cesana hosts three different Games venues - for biathlon, bob/skeleton/luge and the women's alpine speed skiing disciplines.

The biathlon will take place at San Sicario, the ice tracks are situated at Pariol and Fraiteve will stage the women's downhill and super-G.

Cesana is a small town in the Milky Way region, linked to France's Montgenevre, Claviere, Sestriere and Sauze d'Oulx.

The ice track is 1,435m long and could see a top speed of about 130kph.

The course, used for bobsleigh, skeleton and luge, has a drop of 114m and consists of 19 bends, 11 left-hand and eight right-hand.

About 7,000 spectators can be crammed around the track with 3,624 seated.

The biathlon facility incorporates courses of different difficulty and lengths - from two to four kilometres.

At the firing range, there will be 30 fifty-metre firing lines, all equipped with electronic targets.

The women's alpine skiing course extends from Mt Fraiteve (2,702m) and plunges to the village of San Sicario, an overall length of 3,135m.

The venue comprises a training slope, a gondola cableway, four chairlifts and two ski-lifts.
