Walker to stay on as snooker boss

Sir Rodney Walker has been chairman since November 2003
World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association chairman Sir Rodney Walker is to extend his stay in the post until the end of October 2007.

Sir Rodney is one of the United Kingdom's most experienced sports administrators and has been working on a major restructuring of snooker.

"I'm delighted to accept the invitation to see the job through," he said.

"When I took over I warned that there was a lot of hard work needed. I'm glad to say things are coming into place."
