Fleury on song on Belfast debut

Olympic gold medallist Theo Fleury made a dream debut for Belfast Giants as he scored a hat-trick in the 11-2 Elite League win over Edinburgh Capitals.

The 37-year-old Canadian needed just 68 seconds to grab his first goal before adding a second inside four minutes.

Fleury, who made 1,084 regular-season appearances in the National Hockey League, also claimed four assists.

Two goals from Dan Tessier and one from Joe Cardarelli saw Nottingham Panthers beat Sheffield Steelers 3-1.
