Norfolk leads wheelchair honours

Norfolk won Olympic quad gold in Athens
Peter Norfolk, Jayant Mistry and Janet McMorran won the quad, men's and women's titles at the National Wheelchair Tennis Championships.

Olympic quad singles gold medallist Norfolk beat seven-time national champion Mark Eccleston, his Athens doubles partner, 6-1 6-2.

British number one Mistry downed fourth seed Kevin Plowman 6-0 6-2 to lift a record 12th national title.

McMorran eased past Kimberly Blake 6-2 6-1 for her seventh title.

In the men's doubles in Gloucester, top seeds Plowman and Paul Simmons overcame Andy McErlean and Richard Latowski.

The men's quad doubles title was won by Chris Johnson and Nick Webborn, who beat Eccleston and Sean McCallion 6-4 6-2.

McMorran and Lucy Shuker won the women's doubles event with a 6-3 6-0 victory over Debbie Brazier and Debbie Thomas.
