McGlynn won gold and silver at last year's Athens Paralympics

British cyclists Aileen McGlynn and Darren Kenny have both been nominated for the 2005 International Paralympic Committee Awards.
Kenny has been named on the shortlists for the best male athlete award and the best Games debut.
McGlynn is also nominated on the Games debut list and is up for best female athlete honours.
The BBC has received two nominations in the Broadcast and and Written (Online) categories.
Kenny is up against 11 rivals for the best male athlete, including wheelchair racers Kenny van Weeghel of the Netherlands and Finland's Leo-Pekka Tahti, Canadian swimmer Benoit Huot and Brazilian swimmer Clodoaldo Silva.
McGlynn also faces some tough competition for the best female athlete award including Canadian athlete Chantal Peiticlerc and tennis player Esther Vergeer of the Netherlands.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in Beijing on 19 November.
