CSC's Sastre leads Tour of Spain
Carlos Sastre
Spaniard Sastre finished fourth in the 2006 Tour de France
Danish squad CSC won the first stage of the Tour of Spain, a team time trial through the streets of Malaga on Saturday afternoon.

Spaniard Carlos Sastre crossed the line in first place for the team and so becomes the early race leader.

Spanish team Caisse D'Epargne-Illes Balears was second in the short opening stage, with German squad Milram third.

Sastre, who finished second in last year's Vuelta, said: "The team was very focused for this stage and so was I."

Sastre is CSC's provisional team leader in the absence of Tour of Italy winner Ivan Basso, who has been suspended by CSC over his alleged implication in an ongoing doping affair in Spain.
